Locative Design Lab is a multidisciplinary team of artists, designers, architects, creative practitioners, theorists and technology experts engaged in theoretical and practice based research exploring the evolving frontiers of locative/situated media.

Focusing on the study and development of locative systems and the creative use of locative data this Lab seeks to explore the representations of place, space, and time. In so doing, we aim to develop new and innovative ways to design situated media experiences and understand the role that locative data plays in creating and interpreting physical and virtual environments.

The Lab is committed to idea that design research and practice can lead the development of innovation and content for digital systems for locative and situated communication, interaction and display.
